What Happens When We Stop and Listen?
At the soup kitchen, volunteers met people facing addiction, pain, and life on the streets. In Zion Square, the message of Yeshua was proclaimed. KBNIsrael continues to go where people are hurting and bring practical help, prayer, and hope.
A Meal, a Conversation, and a Chance for Hope
The soup kitchen is more than a place to receive food. It is a place where volunteers can meet people personally, hear what they are going through, pray with them, and remind them that they have not been forgotten.
During this visit, several people shared situations that reveal just how difficult life on the streets can become.
Anna is getting thinner, and drugs and street life are taking a heavy toll on her. Angela is considering going to rehab, possibly next week, after she fell outside and injured herself. Christina is also thinking about going to rehab.
These are not simply problems to be discussed from a distance. They are people who need help, mercy, and prayer.
Praying for Moshe and His Family
Moshe also received prayer for his cancer.
His daughter is struggling with drug addiction and is also living on the street. The situation has been extremely difficult for him, and he relapsed as a result of what happened with her.
Yet even in the middle of this pain, there was a small moment of ordinary life. Moshe took the opportunity to trim his beard using the reflection in the window.
Moments like this remind us that behind addiction and homelessness are real people, families, struggles, and stories.
Benjamin Leaves Again
On Monday, Benjamin was on his way to the House of Victory in Haifa. We are praying that Yeshua will reveal Himself to him.
Sadly, Benjamin later left the House of Victory again. He refuses to submit to the teachings of the New Testament, and we may now have to look for a government rehabilitation program for him. This would not be free, and he would receive prescription medication to help him get off street drugs.
This is a very difficult situation, but we have not given up on Benjamin. We believe God wants to save him, and we will continue to look for him and ask God for mercy.
His mother also needs our prayers. She is going through an extremely difficult situation because of what is happening.
Please pray for Benjamin, his mother, and for God to have mercy and reveal Himself to him.
Taking the Gospel to the Streets
The work does not stop at the soup kitchen.
Yoel and Elias were also preaching at Zion Square, openly sharing the message of Yeshua with people in the heart of the city.
There is a connection between these two parts of the ministry. Some people need a meal. Some need rehabilitation. Some need prayer. Some need someone to keep looking for them when they have walked away again.
And everyone needs to hear the hope of the Gospel.
We continue to serve people on the streets of Israel, pray for those caught in addiction, and proclaim Yeshua to those they encounter.
